Injection-locked synthetic optical frequency comb

Optical frequency comb technology is investigated for the synthesis of optical pulses. The optical signals from multiple cavities are phase-locked by the injection of a common single frequency input, where the comb signals of the individual cavities are amplified and resonated by Raman gains pumped at different wavelength bands by using multiple tones of pumps centred at different wavelengths. Numerical simulations show that the width of output pulse resulted from the synthesized frequency comb can significantly be reduced.
